RADKA PASSIANOVA 

Radka is a versatile jewellery and objects designer, maker, and educator. Her work showcased in numerous group and solo exhibitions across Australia. Radka's talent extends to commissioned projects, where she has designed and crafted significant silversmithing pieces.

Inspired by life's myriad facets, Radka's work serve as reflections of her lifestyle, encapsulating memories of thrilling travels, as well as her contemplations on pressing global issues. She relishes the challenge of conquering material and technical hurdles. Currently, she is immersed in making a set of large fruit bowls, an indication of her ceaseless pursuit of exciting projects.

MAJELLA BECK 

Majella is an educator, designer, maker and exhibiting artist with work held in private collections.

As well as creating conceptual artistic pieces, which have an emphasis on both design & purpose, Majella enjoys working with items no longer considered valuable, and giving value back to items with emotional value. Majella sees herself as an urban contemporary hunter & gatherer.

By combining precious and non-precious materials she sees her own work as a constant exploration and evaluation of what makes something precious.

Majella passionately works across a wide variety of materials as it helps her with a deeper understanding of how materials relate to each other. 

Majella has been teaching for the past 20 years at various Universities, Design Centre Enmore, TAFE in Design and Manufacturing, in Private Jewellery Schools, as well as running workshops and writing course content for teaching. She has her own practice specialising in custom/one off designs and handmade custom production range.

LAURA CAPPLIS 

Laura is a Restorations Silversmith & Jeweller who has honed her craft restoring damaged antique and sentimental hollowware, flatware, sculpture, trophies and ecclesiastical items to their former glory. Though her practise is informed by traditional silversmithing techniques she enjoys incorporating organic and natural themes in her pieces, marrying the contemporary with time honored practices.

JENNY FAHEY

Jenny Fahey is a Sydney based contemporary jeweller who finds inspiration in experimenting with materials and manipulating forms to create works that spark a feeling of  familiarity whilst also provoking a sense of something mysterious.

Her studies include an Advanced Diploma of Jewellery & Object Design & a Certificate III in Jewellery Manufacture from Design Centre, Enmore, Tafe NSW, and she is currently studying a Diploma of Gemmology with the Gemmological Association Australia. She has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions and was awarded the runner up prize by judge Marian Hosking for her installation of pins ‘Uncanny Encounters’ in Contemporary Wearables 2019 at Toowoomba Regional Gallery.

She has been an active member in the contemporary jewellery community including several years on the committee of the Jewellers and Metalsmiths Group of Australia – NSW (JMGA-NSW) an experience which included newsletter editing, organising several member exhibitions and being on the 2016 Edges, Borders, Gaps conference coordination committee held at the University of Sydney.

Jenny likes to ponder interesting ideas which prompt reflection on her artistic practice. She enjoys working with a variety of materials and processes particularly 3D design, electroforming and enamelling and has participated in many workshops with eminent contemporary jewellers.

APRIL ERZETICH

Based in Katoomba, NSW, April Erzetich originally began her career as a bronze sculpture artist and weaver graduating from the The University of Newcastle in 2005 with a B.F.A. (Honors). On an academic exchange programme to the Nova Scotia College of Arts and Design, Canada, she was introduced to the methods of jewellery making. In 2009 Erzetich spent time in Rajasthan, India, where she studied the traditional craft of using intaglio impression dies for jewellery making. Inspired by its use of rich details and symbolism, she embraced this technique which is at the core of her work today.

CLARE HOOPER

Clare’s artistic practice captures moments in time which then become small, portable objects – namely jewellery forms but also on occasion small sculptures. Her inspirations come from the actions of walking and thinking as well as thinking through crafting in her preferred technique of enamelling.

Her education includes the Bachelor of Visual Arts, Honours and Master of Fine Arts from the University of Sydney.
