Celebrate Mother’s Day with a unique and meaningful experience! Join us for a special Silver Earring Making Workshop, where you’ll create two beautiful pairs of handcrafted silver earrings—either as a heartfelt gift or a personal treat.
In this hands-on session, you’ll learn fundamental jewellery making techniques, including sawing, texturing, soldering, and finishing, under the guidance of experienced teacher. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your creativity, and we’ll provide the tools and materials.
Enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere as you craft something truly special. Perfect for beginners and those looking to explore the art of jewellery making!
Course Objectives:
Marking out - How to plan & accurately mark out metal to the correct size.
Saw piercing - Learn and master using the jewellers saw to precisely cut metal.
Forming - Understand different forming techniques which can be used to create jewellery.
Soldering & using torches - Learn how to safely use jewellers torches, what is annealing & master using a torch to solder metal together.
Texturing - Explore different textures; from hammered finishes, roller printing, burr textures, letter stamping & more.
Finishing - How to prepare your ring with emery paper correctly prior to finishing, polishing, satin finishes and even how to create dimension and depth in your finish using patination.
Troubleshooting & problem solving -Develop problem solving skills to address common challenges encountered during the ring making process.
Who Should Attend:
This class is suitable for beginners with no prior experience in jewellery making. It is a great class to come along with your mum to have a fun time creating something memorable while learning something new.
Outcome:
By the completion of the course, participants will have learnt traditional jewellery fabrication techniques to create your own two pairs of earrings. This will create a foundation of basic skills to continue exploring the joy of making jewellery.
Included in the program:
You will have access to our extensive tool collection & all necessary materials will be provided, including sterling silver, brass & consumables. Participants are welcome to bring any additional tools or design inspirations they may have.
Minimum Numbers
This class requires a minimum of four students to go ahead. In the unlikely event minimum numbers are not reached, we will contact you with alternative dates to reschedule your booking.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
Due to limited availability in our private and group classes, all bookings are non-refundable. Rescheduling is also not possible, as the logistical arrangements and personalized focus of each class cater to small groups. The Metal Space is required to pay tutor fees regardless of attendance. If you fail to attend or miss your scheduled booking, you will not be eligible for a refund.
In the event this class is cancelled by The Metal Space for unforeseen reasons, the class fee will be refunded to the students.
Refunds are processed promptly by The Metal Space however we are not able to determine how long the financial institution may take to transfer. Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to be processed.
Make up classes
If a class is missed for any reason, a make-up session cannot be offered. As a small school with a limited number of classes, we are unable to accommodate or cover the cost of a tutor for make-up sessions.
Please check your schedule and ensure your availability before enrolling.
